The Pacific Islander Primary Center of Excellence (PI-CoPCE) is an initiative of AAPCHO and was established to improve the health of Pacific Islanders in the United States and U.S. Pacific through primary care support, research, workforce development, and community initiatives.

GOAL
Pacific Islanders continue to face disparities in health conditions, behaviors and access. Health providers and other organizations often lack the resources, knowledge, and culturally and linguistically appropriate programs and services to serve these communities.
To address this need, the PI-CoPCE Planning Group has identified Four Pillars or strategic focus areas to improve the health status and access of Pacific Islanders in the United States, Hawaii, and U.S. Pacific:
