Boldly Go Where No One Has Gone Before… on Enabling Services! – P2P NETWORKING SESSION

Friday, March 29, 2019
3:30-5:00 pm

Room: Thurgood Marshall East

Topic: Health Center Essentials

Since their inception, health centers have provided non-clinical, enabling services to address the social determinants of health. These services include outreach, enrollment assistance, case management, interpretation, transportation, health education, peer support, and more. Enabling services utilization is associated with better outcomes on several key clinical measures.

Payment: Discussion of strategies and approaches in which states and payors are reimbursing for and financing enabling services.

Operations: Highlights innovative models for leveraging the enabling services workforce to impact health outcomes and the health center bottom line.

Outcomes: Measuring return on investment (ROI) is an essential component for evaluating the effectiveness of the enabling services workforce.
