AAPCHO's National Postcard Campaign to Save America's Health Centers
November 23, 2011
Director of Development and Public Affairs
AAPCHO is launching a National Postcard Campaign to save America’s Community Health Centers. The campaign coincides with the National Association of Community Health Center’s (NACHC) National Mobilization Call-In Day.
For many Community Health Center (CHC) patients that are limited English proficient, call-in campaigns prove to be especially challenging. To counter this challenge, AAPCHO is supplementing NACHC’scampaign with a mail-in postcard campaign. The National Postcard Campaign consists of two-parts, and postcards should be delivered to Congress by October 13th and to the White House by November 23rd.
AAPCHO created two postcard templates: one to Congressional members, and one to President Obama. The postcards are available in Chinese, Khmer, Korean, Vietnamese, and English.
To help participants prepare for the National Postcard Campaign, you can also download a one page instructional flyer explaining how to send your postcards to Congress and the White House.
