Kristine Cecile Alarcon is AAPCHO’s Communications and Engagement Specialist. She works with the Development and Public Affairs team to create and deliver impact-driven communication campaigns. Prior to working at AAPCHO, Kristine was a Public Health Coordinator at the Hepatitis B Foundation (HBF) managing social media outreach for Hep B United, which was co-founded and is co-chaired by HBF and AAPCHO. She also launched and hosted HBF’s A Day in a Life of a Public Health Coordinator and Journey to the Cure.
She is interested in communicating important health information to improve health literacy in Asian American populations. Kristine is a storyteller at heart and also interested in entertainment education, which involves conveying health information in fun and creative ways.
Kristine holds a Master of Public Health degree from Drexel Dornsife School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of San Francisco. Kristine is currently pursuing a Master of Art Cinema degree at San Francisco State University.
