World Hepatitis Day aims to raise awareness of hepatitis B and C in order to prevent new infections and to deliver real improvements in health outcomes for people living with these chronic diseases.
AAPCHO, and fellow hepatitis advocates including the HHS Office of Minority Health (OMH), the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD), and the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable (NVHR) gathered in Washington, D.C. on May 19, 2010 to participate in the national and worldwide fight to eliminate these devastating diseases.
