Katherine Chen joined AAPCHO in November 2008 as a Research Assistant, where she provides research and administrative support for AAPCHO’s research programs.   Prior to joining the organization, Ms. Chen worked with the Kaiser Family Foundation as a Barbara Jordan Health Policy Scholar, the Congressional Hunger Center (CHC) as a Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow, Solid Ground, and the Association for Nutrition Services Agencies (ANSA).  She has worked on issues such as: nutrition and school gardens, race and health disparities, hunger and poverty.  Born and raised in San Francisco, Ms. Chen received her BA in Public Health, with a Minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
