Medically Underserved AAPIs by County

The Medically Underserved AAPI Communities (MUAC) project provides a county-level assessment of where AAPIs lack access to health care, and helps government agencies and public health workers effectively address AAPI needs. (See MUAC Fact Sheet for more information). The maps below highlight medically underserved and severely medically underserved AAPI counties, as well as provide county-level geographical representations of variables used in the project. These include percent of AAPIs, AAPI poverty and Limited English Proficiency (LEP) rates, and physician to patient (FTE) ratio. Data used for this project originated from the U.S. Census and the Bureau of Primary Health Care.
