Community Health Centers Responding to HIV/AIDS in Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Communities

This three-part series is based on a comprehensive assessment of HIV/AIDS activities and the training needs of medical providers to address HIV/AIDS related issues in community health centers (CHCs).

  • Handbook for Surveying Community Health Centers, Medical Providers, and HIV Issues (Part One): This handbook lists the factors and processes influencing the development of the survey instrument used. This handbook was developed to support the planning process for enhancing HIV/AIDS programs undertaken within CHCs.
  • HIV/AIDS Activities in Community Health Centers serving Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, and Native Hawaiians (Part Two): This document details in tabular form the findings of the survey conducted using the instrument discussed in Part One of the series.
  • Medical Providers’ Perceptions and Expressed Need for Training on HIV/AIDS Related Issues & Communications (Part Three): This document details the findings of a survey initially conducted to provide programmatic priorities for the CHAMPs Project.
