AAPCHO comments to the Office of Management and Budget, highlighting the importance of disaggregated Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander race and ethnicity categories, as well as why there should be a MENA (Middle Eastern, North African) category. The last time there was an open comment period for the standards was 1994, and the standards were revised in 1997. This was submitted in the first of what is potentially three comment periods during this round (first comment period finished on October 31st, 2016).
