CMS’s Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) proposed to restructure the way that they work, and had a public comment period for organizations and individuals to submit comments on how they would like CMMI to move forward. AAPCHO submitted comments stressing the need to provide culturally and linguistically accessible care, promoting the integrative, patient-centered models that AAPCHO member centers are known for, and asking CMMI to work with AAPCHO to think about innovative ways to bring our perspective in how managed care and other models see Medicaid beneficiaries.
