Integrated Models of Care for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Other Pacific Islanders with Serious Mental Illness

Individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) face significant access barriers to quality health care and experience increased morbidity and mortality; those with SMI die an average of 25 years earlier than those without SMI. For Asian Americans, Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islanders (AA&NHOPI) with SMI, disparities in health conditions and access to care are compounded by language and cultural barriers that challenge the delivery of quality and accessible care. Health equity for AA&NHOPIs with SMI requires collaborative partnerships with culturally and linguistically competent primary care and behavioral health organizations.

Join us in this webcast as we share examples of unique integrated models of care for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders with serious mental illness.
